the cause of this is because your probably switching to austrilian voice through the roter. If you want your phone to stay with austrilian voice, you have to go into settings general international and switch the region format to austrilian

It'll screw up some of your preferences, among other things. some apps may not show the way you intend, I don't know if it will affect store purchases or not.

I did it and I can buy apps, not sure if it would effect anything else. maybe that should be looked in too?

Spell checkers? Like i s e instead of i z e at the ends of some words. Or favourite instead of favorite, colour instead of color, grey instead of gray, stuff like that. It'll just make you look like you wish you were British to some people hahaha

oh well. I already write like that a lot . I talk to a few people who are british and I don't have the best spelling and would check to see how they spelt things and well, found out a couple years later it was wrong and I still write like that out of habbit. Not sure which is which language. LOL.

I use the Australian or Irish voice since I don't like the US voice at all. Fortunately the language roter is getting easier to work with all the time so it's not a big deal if I can use my favorite voice but not get told that I misspelled Favorite. That was the biggest turn-off to switching the region format. That and when I'm in the mood for the Irish voice I can still use US time.

Hi,

The store is way more accessible with the final released version of IOS 6. What is the compact voice setting for? I can't hear that one.
